The Army was in need of an administration facility to house educational, auditorium, computer lab and administration support areas for approximately 256 soldiers.
SEH and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers designed and constructed a 38,000 square-foot facility to house these support areas. The project was also fast-tracked to provide for an earlier move-in date. Special structural design and construction features allowed the building to expand the openings and exceed the requirements for natural lighting. Anti-terrorism/force protection elements were added to prevent the building from sustaining damage should an attack on it occur. The classroom portion of the building was built to support potential changes in technology and teaching methods in the future.
