SEH Launches STEM Scholarship Program

In a partnership with Scholarship America®, SEH announces the official launch of the SEH Pathway to STEM Scholarship Program – a scholarship program to assist individuals majoring in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field at select colleges and who plan to pursue a career in a STEM field.

SEH believes Building a Better World for All of Us® includes creating equitable opportunities throughout the communities we serve. One way to do that is to provide access for underrepresented populations to STEM through tuition assistance, job readiness through internship and job opportunities upon graduation.

  The scholarship program and partnership is just one way to support SEH's commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity. We want to create opportunities and build relationships with scholarship applicants and recipients, so they choose an internship with SEH to further their career and educational experience and then join our Company as full-time employees, hopefully.

Who is eligible?

Applicants to the SEH Pathway to STEM Scholarship Program must:

• Be high school seniors, high school graduates or current college undergraduates
• Major in a STEM* field and plan to pursue a career in STEM
• Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at one of the following schools:
  • Colorado State University, Pueblo, CO 
  • Dunwoody College of Technology, Minneapolis, MN 
  • Ivy Tech Community College, Indianapolis, IN 
  • Lake Superior Community College, Duluth, MN 
  • Leech Lake Tribal College, Cass Lake, MN
  • Milwaukee Area Technical College, Milwaukee County, WI 
  • Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Green Bay, WI 
  • Southeast Technical College, Sioux Falls, SD 
  • St. Cloud Technical College, St. Cloud, MN 
  • University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, MN 
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison, Madison, WI 
  • Western Colorado Community College, Grand Junction, CO 

The SEH Pathway to STEM Scholarships will award up to $18,000 in total. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000 scholarship award – up to six students will be granted awards. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are:

• Historically underserved students in the field of STEM who self-identify as Black/African American
• Hispanic or Latino; or American Indian or Alaska Native
• Students who self-identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community

Scholarship America will review all applications and select recipients. Recipients may be offered internships with SEH while pursuing their degree and/or full-time employment with SEH upon graduation.
