At SEH, we recognize employees through our Act of Excellence program. Employees are nominated for excellence in one of three categories: Accomplishment, Character or Innovation.
Congratulations to the following SEH employees for their amazing Acts of Excellence performed this first quarter in fiscal year 2020. Meet more of our Act of Excellence winners.

Character
Selected Winner
Erin Borgschatz is a geologist in Rochester, Minnesota
The Act: Erin is a person with a remarkable character. She has an extremely high work ethic and independence in her work, but on top of all of that, is a wonderful, thoughtful human-being. Erin thinks of others, shows concern for co-workers, and does what’s necessary to get her job done. She also does small acts of kindness throughout the office, from bringing in a flower for a co-worker to bringing in coffee for others.
Innovation
Selected Winner
Justin Duevel is a technician in St. Cloud, Minnesota
The Act: SEH was hired to complete pond inspections to help assess and prioritize pond maintenance. Justin researched, developed, and created a new, innovative way to collect pond data. He used a kayak to collect sonar data and a program that maps aquatic vegetation and bathymetric data. With any new system/process, there were a lot of learning and challenges to work through. Justin did the heavy lifting, coordination, hardware set-up, troubleshooting, trained the intern field staff, gathered missing data and more. This innovative and new process kept the project moving on schedule.
